But in many ways, I have to applaud Rollo. He moved out from under his brother's shadow, and not a moment too soon. Just look at what Ragnar has become. More to the point, Rollo is now a conqueror. I don't mean his victory in battler against his own people, either. I mean that he has come to Frankia and become a Count, almost without lifting a finger. He is a nobleman with power and wealth and a strong alliance to the Emperor through marriage. Now that he's also devised a brilliant defense against the vikings, his stature in court will only rise (though it may become more precarious given all the scheming going on around him.)
